Великий живописець, декоратор, графік, Альфонс Муха, надихнув нас на створення закладу в його пам’ять, де люди мали б змогу бути ближче один до одного, насолоджуватися гармонією, стилем та естетикою. Таємниця цього місця тісно пов’язана з біографією Мухи та його інтимним зв’язком з пані Оленою Дармостуковою, що мешкала в будинку на території нинішнього готелю на Старому Подолі. Протягом всього життя геніальний художник кохав київську красуню Олену, одного разу зустрівшись з нею на ярмарці в Парижі. Всі роботи митця вирізняються своєрідним неповторним стилем. Зазвичай, центром композиції є молода жінка слов’янської зовнішності у легких одежах, з розкішною короною довгого волосся, окутана морем з квітів – іноді млосно-принадлива, іноді загадкова та граційна, іноді неприступно-фатальна, але завжди чарівлива та небесної краси. Створюється враження, що в своєму одухотворенні представниця слабкої статі, породжена кистю художника, парує понад хмарами, а про існування людських проблем і метушні навіть знати не хоче. Саме такою автор пам’ятав свою кохану Олену, саме на неї схожі всі жінки, які дивляться на нас з його полотен. Так як офіційним біографом художника був його син, роман закоханих був схований під сімома замками, щоб не зганьбити ім’я та шлюб Альфонса з дружиною Марушкою. Сьогодні Ви маєте можливість доторкнутися до таємниці великого кохання, окутавши себе атмосферою вічно молодого та романтичного стилю Арт Нуво.

Готель “Старо” розташований в серці столиці, в старовинному історичному районі Києва – Подолі, що розкинувся вздовж правого берега Дніпра. Поділ – це те місце, де з’явилася перша аптека, перший водопровід і перший вищий навчальний заклад. У давні часи тут перебували торгівельно-ремісничі центри, а зараз це діловий центр міста, давній район і знахідка для поціновувача історії.
Christina Detroit, Michigan You can really feel the professionalism at the Staro - the staff will go out of their way to help the guests out with any kind of detail from getting a driver, providing power adapters to even having a gallon of special water in the room upon arrival. I also loved the grab-n-go meals that I was given not only on the days that I booked an excursion, but they also gave provided these meals the day I left the hotel for the airport. It was really nice to have a quick meal while waiting to board the plane at 5:00am in the morning. And these are full meals that included things like fruit, sandwich, juice, bottle of still water, cookies, yogurt and even a hard boiled egg! Some other perks to booking your stay at the Staro Hotel: Amazing breakfast!!!!! Within walking distance to Metro Stations. Within walking distance to restaurants, banks and grocery stores. A park is right next door. If you're in the mood to catch a movie, there's a theater right around the block! Stayed August 2016
jotjensen Moscow, Russia Gorgeous hotel in Art Nouveau Style. Terrific staff, nice breakfast, and beautiful room. As mentioned, the metro is about a ten minute walk. One metro stop away is the entrance to the funicular up to St. Michael's Monastery, which, in turn, is only 5 or 10 minutes away from St. Sophia. We hope to return to stay here! HJA8620 Nieuwpoort, Belgium Located just outside of the historical center, this hotel offered reasonable priced room with excellent sleeping quality. Breakfast was complete, with local specialities. Brookvilleguest Wilmington, NC I stayed in Suite 41 for six days in May for my birthday. It was exactly what I was hoping for. The suite had tons of character, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfasts were excellent. I would stay there again. For my birthday, the staff sent me a bottle of Ukrainian champagne. It was a memorable experience for my 65th birthday! My suite was on the top floor and had a view of a park and beautiful buildings. Great experience. The ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful in seeing that I did all that I wanted and even the doorman was extremely courteous. A great experience. Thank you to all the staff who made it "special!" Room Tip: I would imagine that the rooms on the park side would be better.
Jose Elias M My room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. The restaurant downstairs was also very good! There was even live music while I was eating an early dinner and when the waiter asked me if I had any requests for the jazz pianist, I said he can play anything he wanted since I don't listen to a lot of jazz - I'm more into rock and metal music. The waiter then asked me if he can suggest his favorites. They blew me away by playing some of my favorite rock songs in jazz form! I'll never forget that evening.
Jurius Copenhagen, Denmark I like this hotel - located quite centrally, it's just 7-10 minutes walking distance from the metro station. There are a lot of restaurants and bars around. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean. And I got free upgrade of my room. WiFi is fast, breakfast is tasty (and you can have not only cheese, eggs and sausages, but also a chicken steak, potatoes, etc. And even m&m's 🙂 So I can strongly recommend this hotel. The only disadvantage for me was that there were no Russian channels on TV. Stayed August 2016, traveled on business
